Otocec Castle Hotel

Otočec Castle is located on one of many islands on beautiful Krka River. It is the only Castle surrounded by the river and one of the most glorious Castles in Slovenia. Its walls hide undulating past. Otočec Castle was declared as a cultural monument and represents an important part of Slovene history. 

The castle was mentioned for the first time in 13th century, when knights of Island lived in it. At the end of 15th century the knights extinct and their property was passed into the possession of other aristocratic families. During WW2 Partisans burned and destroyed the castle but after it was nationalized and restored.

Today, 5* luxury hotel (proud member of Relais & Châteaux association) can be found inside a castle along with 'top edge' restaurant offering local as well as international cuisine. Besides accommodation and eating facilities Otočec Castle presents one of the most prominent wedding, business and golf locations in the country.
